Scorchsoft is a software development company, specialising in crafting mobile applications, online portals, and Software as a Service (SaaS) products. With nearly 14 years of experience, we have collaborated with hundreds of companies across a variety of sectors, from small businesses to large enterprises, demonstrating our adaptability and commitment to excellence. Our project portfolio is diverse, including SaaS products, online marketplaces, Internet of Things (IoT) applications for remote device management, sales enablement tools that blend process optimisation with AI, healthcare solutions, and business-to-consumer technology that underpins our clients' ecosystems.

Why did you choose to work from this specific TCN workspace?
Our move to Assay Studios stemmed from a thorough evaluation of our spatial requirements, especially considering the changes brought about by the post-pandemic work landscape. Before the pandemic, our office served its purpose well, but the shift to remote working highlighted a diminished need for a large physical space. Despite having a team of 19, we found the office rarely hosted more than a handful of us at any one time. This change matched well with the nature of our work, which often demands deep focus in a setting devoid of the usual office interruptions.
The main function of our office space is for teamwork and client meetings, where the impact of our environment on clients is crucial. Assay Studios stood out for its exceptional first impression. The building combines a rich history with a dynamic mix of modern and innovative design elements. Its architecture and interior not only look modern and inviting but also provide numerous conversation starters that enrich the client experience and mirror our identity as a forward-looking, inventive company.
The calibre of the meeting rooms and the overall customer experience at Assay Studios played a significant role in our decision. The workspace provides an atmosphere our team appreciates and bolsters our aim to nurture a contemporary and progressive business persona. It elevates our customer journey, making it a perfect match for Scorchsoft.
Our dealings with TCN have been exceptionally positive. From clear lease agreements to open communication, the experience marked a significant improvement over past landlord-tenant interactions. The collaborative approach and supportive management, highlighted by the Campus Manager, Sarita's helpfulness, played a big part in solidifying our decision to make Assay Studios, Birmingham our new workspace.

I'm Andrew Ward, Managing Director at Scorchsoft, and I'm thrilled to share that at the end of last year, the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce honoured me with the Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Award in the Technology and Innovation category. This award, while given to me, truly recognises the hard work and vision of the whole team at Scorchsoft. It highlights our dedication to helping non-tech businesses flourish in the digital world, making technology approachable, and building a future where technological proficiency is universal.
Our efforts in enabling businesses to leverage technology for innovation and to stand out in the marketplace have been key to receiving this honour. It reaffirms our belief in the power of technology to transform and our commitment to making it universally accessible.
I have also written two books aimed at simplifying technology for everyone. "Execute Your Tech Idea" walks readers through innovation from idea to reality, emphasising the development of unique, technology-driven solutions. "The Chat GPT Guide to Business" delves into the ethical use of AI, promoting a combined approach of human creativity and AI's computational abilities to achieve optimal results.
Our project portfolio spans various sectors like education, transportation, and healthcare, demonstrating our capability to deliver custom tech solutions. Noteworthy is our collaboration on a video for trade.gov.uk during the Commonwealth Games, showcasing the immense opportunities in the tech sector and tech exporting.
These achievements, alongside our thought leadership and significant projects, not only underline Scorchsoft's expertise but also our commitment to using technology in business ethically and effectively.
