Newark Works Construction Commences

TCN appointed BAM as main contractors on the £7 million construction contract. Completion is due for December 2021 and to date this is on track, despite the obvious challenges of 2020. A question we often get asked is what changes we have made to the scheme in light of Covid. The honest answer is that we always believed in producing loose fit, inspiring space, drawing on the history and heritage of our buildings. Our main changes have been around sustainability and pushing as hard as we can on this, something always close to our hearts, but no doubt even further to the fore in these profoundly changing times.

Adding Fuel to Norwich

Norwich holds a special place in our hearts and the fine folk of Norfolk have a Bristolian style outlook on life. That was good enough  for us and we acquired the 80,000 sq ft Fuel Studios in the vibrant, creative heart of the city. Small spaces for the growing network of SME’s were created and new deals agreed with the larger occupiers, including commitment to invest heavily in the building. Norwich has certainly not disappointed and we continue to enjoy operating in the city. Norwich to Liverpool Street in 90 minutes was a big factor for us.

We are in the Dog House

Dog House opened it doors in January, offering stunning work and collaborative space to the entrepreneurial and creative folk of Reading. This is one of our most styled and detailed projects and offers inspirational surroundings for teams to come together. With 50% let on opening, clearly it is a product suited to the demand. Covid has done it’s best to dampen spirits, but in a heart warming sign of the UK’s small business resilience, we have continued to let space and keep things moving.
